Time to wear a mask in Switzerland

Finally, the Swiss Federal Government made a big step forward: It made it obligatory to wear a mask on public transport including trains, buses and trams all across the country. From today, on 6th July 2020, it is implemented all across the country, while the announcement was made in the previous week on 1st July.

It took time for the government to make this decision; in the face of the Swiss general public's unwillingness for mask wearing. Even at the time of the announcement of releasing of most of the lock-down measures from 8th June 2020, it was left to individuals' decision in principle to wear a mask or not. However facing the consequence of the rapid increase number of the newly infected since mid June, the "Compulsory Masks" move was made.
